Application Temperature

Application Methods
  • Airless sprayer with back brushing
  • Paint pad or all by Brush
Surface Preparation
  • Clean and dry
  • Free of mold and mildew
  • Never use steel wool
Frequency
  • As needed, depending on exposure
Special Instructions
  • Back-brushing required
  • Stir container every 15 minutes
  • Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks
  • Avoid applying in direct sun
  • One to multiple coats, depending on desired film thickness. Sand between first and second coat.
Drying Time
  • Dry to the touch in 2 to 4 hours
  • Cures in 72 hours, for flooring applications please refer to label
Coverage
  • 350-450 square feet / gallon on bare wood (1st coat)
  • 600-800 square feet / gallon on finished wood (2nd coat)
  • 700-900 square feet / gallon for subsequent coats (3rd coat, etc.)

Dispose of unused product and empty containers in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. PCS Clear Shield® is a water-based, low-VOC product. To protect the environment, do not pour unused product into drains or waterways.
